Louis Vazart & The Priory of Sion

Paul Smith

9 May 2022

Towards the end of his life Louis Vazart threw away his Priory of Sion books and material – we found this out from a French eBay seller in 2007 who was selling Louis Vazart's books (Vazart died in 2005).

Only one example – The Priory of Sion has been debunked and discredited by “Pierre Jarnac” (Michel Vallet) in his books. Pierre Plantard could have been hoping to use “Pierre Jarnac” as another author to promote his fantasies and lies but Plantard got nowhere with “Pierre Jarnac”.

Fantasies, Lies, Confidence Trickery, Hoodwinking, deception and cheating – these were the Hallmarks of Pierre Plantard, Philippe de Chérisey and Louis Vazart – until Vazart threw his Priory of Sion material away towards the end of his life. We possess the testimony of a French eBay seller.

eBay Bookseller info

Louis Vazart’s book was originally purchased in 2007 from eBay with the following seller's information (I had personally bought the book originally in 1990 in Rennes-le-Chateau; this was a copy for someone else).

[This 1978 self-published book, with a very small edition, is one of the founding elements of the merovingian connection between Rennes-le-Château and Pierre Plantard “de Saint-Clair” assertions. The genealogies inserted in the book thus allow the reinforcement of Plantard's pretentions when the remainder of the book is a monument of erudition. This fundamental book has become a rarity as its author, at the end of his life, disowned it and had a certain number of copies destroyed.]

Format 14 x 21,5 cm, couverture souple en bon état général ; 288 pages, intérieur propre et complet.

Hello, XXXX, I asked my friend for more details on the Vazard's book. He told me that Vazard was member of a catholic association, and that some other members of this association he met confirmed that Vazard, at the end of his life, had baught as many of his book he could, and destroyed them. So this book is really rare.

Best regards,
