Rest In Peace
Ean Begg
(Ean Cochrane MacInnes Begg),
1929 – 1 October 2018

Ean Begg believed in a “Black Virgin Cult” different to mainstream Christianity – statues of the Madonna and child were only black when they were made out of bog-oak/bog-wood.

The subject matter of “Black Virgins” began in a series of articles by Michael Baigent and Richard Leigh published in numbers 4, 6 and 8 of The Unexplained magazine in 1980.

There was nothing special about “Black Virgins” before 1980 and no literature existed.

Ean Begg was featured on the documentary Secrets of The Bible: The Holy Grail (American Heroes Channel, 2015)
