Sandy Hamblett and Sheila Hendry have recently announced the new information about Henri Rouzaud's visits to Rennes-le-Château and Rennes-les-Bains – but failing to mention the historical context about Bérenger Saunière.

Henri Rouzaud's handwritten report failed to mention any references to treasure or mysteries at Rennes-le-Château or Rennes-les-Bains during his visits to those villages. “Lea Rosi”, the French researcher who first discovered this information about Rouzaud is another formulated believer in the treasure, who culls together all Roman Catholic archaeological symbolism that exists in the region of Rennes-le-Château – and implying that whatever looks similar in other regions is automatically linked to the same fantasy treasure that Sauniere/Boudet allegedly discovered.

Furthermore, Henri Rouzaud failed to query the source of Bérenger Saunière's wealth anywhere in his writings – that's because as a Republican he would have suspected that Saunière's wealth originated from trafficking in masses – especially since his visits to Rennes-le-Château and Rennes-les-Bains in 1910 coincided with Saunière's ecclesiastical trial where he was indicted over trafficking in masses.

Labouïsse-Rochefort's story about the “Devil's Treasure” is very important to the believers – even acting as a kick-start to the whole fantasy – but the believers avoid mentioning that although Labouïsse-Rochefort mentioned a legendary treasure – he also concluded that “the millions were imaginary”.
