The Jewish Line of David was annihilated by the death of King Zedekiah during Babylon’s conquest of Jerusalem in 586 BCE. This Line of Kingship was never restored in Jewish history.
Some Wikipedia articles have ignored that the whole premise of the “Jesus Bloodline” rests upon the Line of David – and the claim that Jesus Christ was of the Line of David in the Christian Gospels could not have been possible outside the domain of Religious Faith. (It is a core tenet of the Christian faith that Jesus was born of the line of David, fulfilling Old Testament prophecies that the Messiah would be a descendant of King David.)
The following articles on Wikipedia: Jesus bloodline, Priory of Sion,
The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail, and Bloodline (2008 film) failed to establish that the “Jesus Bloodline” and the Line of David were cognate and intrinsically part of each other.
This modern contamination of the general public by the sheer ignorance of the continuation of the Line of David by the “Jesus Bloodline” certainly captured the imagination of a huge segment of the population for literally decades. “The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail” was published 44 years ago – and yet not one scholar kicked this foolishness into touch. What's more, not even one scholar was EVEN ASKED to comment in any one of the many documentaries that were made on the subject matter. The scholars must have been laughing their heads off during all this time. This is staggering, bearing in mind it would only have taken one small piece of information to cause a complete and total collapse of it all.
Again, it must be emphasised that the obliteration of the Line of David in 586 BCE by the conquest of Jerusalem by the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar II is not found in any simple minded Coffee Table books but in highly technical and scholarly books, such as the latest one by Shelley L. Birdsong, “The Last King(s) of Judah: Zedekiah and Sedekias in the Hebrew and Old Greek Versions of Jeremiah 37(44):1-40(47):6” (Mohr Siebeck, Tübingen, Germany, 2017; prices around £84-£90 for Kindle or over €198 for Library Editions from its Publisher).
Debunking the SECULAR CLAIM of the “Bloodline of Jesus”, also debunks the RELIGIOUS TENET of Christianity in the same process. It is commonly called Killing Two Birds with One Stone. Historian Academics alongside Wikipedia Administrators are undoubtedly both Christian Fundamentalists.
