This book by Abbé Boudet, in case there happens to be anyone who does not already know, was just another example of idiosyncratic junk. People are only interested in it because it was to do with Rennes-les-Bains and the fantasies of Abbé Saunière at Rennes-le-Château. That’s all.

Boudet was not unusual in being interested in the first and earliest primeval language, Umberto Eco wrote an introductory book about the subject matter called “The Search For The Perfect Language” (1993).

The Believers just can’t stop writing about this.
